Together We Give #GivingTuesday
How are you celebrating #GivingTuesday? This holiday means a lot to me, and I’m excited to support two incredible organizations this year. If you haven’t heard of it before, #GivingTuesday is all about global generosity. It’s a powerful movement that encourages people and organizations to engage with their communities and help make an impact.
As a member of the women’s networking group known as W Source (@thewsource), my chapter and I are organizing a fundraising campaign to showcase two amazing nonprofits. W Source puts community first. We sit on the board of nonprofits, launch fundraising campaigns on our birthdays, and donate funds to our favorite causes. This year especially, I feel so proud to be part of this organization.
1. UNSTOPPABLE FOUNDATION @UNSTOPPABLE_FOUNDATION
The Unstoppable Foundation is a non-profit humanitarian organization bringing sustainable education to children and communities in developing countries thereby creating a safer and more just world for everyone. And with nearly 60 million children around the world currently lacking access to education, @unstoppable_foundation is working actively to change that, one community at a time. 2. DETERMINED TO SUCCEED @DETERMINEDTOSUCCEEDLA
Determined to Succeed (DTS) is a college access and success program for highly motivated, low-income, first-generation students. The organization takes a unique and impactful "whole child" approach that allows students to discover they have the tenacity to achieve their academic goals of high school and college graduation. They empower students to set themselves on the path to fulfilling their future goals and dreams. We were so excited to find our most recent hire Mario through @determinedtosucceedla.
