Ecommerce Owners: Are You Prepared for Black Friday?
This one’s for our ecommerce business owners! 📣
Are you ready for #BlackFriday? The 2020 holiday shopping season is closer than you think (63 days, to be exact!) and retailers are expecting massive demand in online channels. With fewer consumers getting out to visit physical stores, it’s crucial that ecommerce brands have a strong strategy in place. Here’s a few tips to get started:
1. BUDGET FOR AD SPEND
Platforms like Facebook and Google are going to be overflowing with thousands of brands all vying for shoppers’ attention. So if you’re planning on spending marketing dollars on these platforms, make sure to budget out ahead of time.
2. LINE UP POTENTIAL INFLUENCER PARTNERSHIPS EARLY
For products and brands that regularly use influencers, make sure to get these opportunities scheduled and ready before it’s peak shopping time. Scrambling last minute to create and promote content won’t have the impact you need to succeed during the holiday season.
3. MAKE SURE DISTRIBUTION AND SHIPPING ESTIMATES ARE CORRECT
If you’re going to be running any kind of promotions or incentives that guarantee product will arrive before the holidays, make sure to double check your shipping estimates and distribution network. Shipping carriers and delivery services will be particularly overwhelmed this year, so err on the side of caution.
